MINI GT  2024 Christmas Model Design Contest

Calling all MINI GT fans! Do you have a passion for MINI GT model cars and dream of seeing your design made into a MINI GT model? MINI GT invites you to participate in our 2024 Christmas Model Car Design Contest! Here’s your chance to see your creative vision brought to life on a MINI GT diecast model. Follow these guidelines to submit your entry and potentially see your design become a reality!

Contest Overview

Participants are invited to design a unique livery for a MINI GT model car with a Christmas theme using the template provided by MINI GT. This is the first-ever Christmas car contest hosted by MINI GT. The contest is open to all MINI GT fans and collectors aged 18 and above. The winning design will be produced and featured on the 2024 MINI GT Christmas model car.

Official Submission Guidelines

Eligibility:  The contest is open to individuals aged 18 and above. By entering or participating in the contest, the participant agrees to be bound by these “Official Guidelines” and the decisions of the MINI GT team and model car licensors, which are binding and final on matters relating to this contest, including, without limitation, interpretation of these Official Guidelines.

Design Requirements & Restrictions:

• Subject: Christmas theme
• Each participant is limited to submitting one design.
• Submissions must use the template provided by MINI GT;  the design should be tailored specifically for the MINI GT car model designated for this contest; the design must be applicable to the MINI GT car model specified for this contest only.
• The design must be original and not infringe on any third-party brand names, trademarks, or intellectual property rights.
• All the graphics or logos must be original creations by the participant and must not infringe on any third-party brand names, trademarks, or intellectual property rights.
• The entry must be the participant’s original work and must not be plagiarized.
• Designs can be created using any medium but must be submitted digitally as we do not accept physical mail submissions.
• Designs previously submitted to other similar livery design contests are not eligible.
• The entry must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any group or individual, or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.

Rights Transfer:  By submitting an entry, the entrant grants a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use and exploit the entry to the contest organizers and their licensees, successors, and assigns. This includes all images, text, and materials within the entry, in any manner or medium, now or in the future, throughout the universe, and in any language. This right encompasses displaying, reproducing, recreating, recording, performing, exhibiting, distributing, copying, editing, modifying, adding to, subtracting from, re-titling, and adapting the entry. It also includes combining the entry with other materials and using it without compensation or attribution to the entrant or any third party, except for awarding the prize to the contest winners.

Entry Format:

• Digital designs should be submitted in high-resolution formats (JPG, AI, PSD, or PDF).
• Hand-drawn designs should be scanned and submitted as high-resolution images JPG or PDF format.
• File size should not exceed 8 MB

Submission Process:

1. Complete the application in English, including your name and contact information. Your details will be used solely for communication purposes and will not be sold to any third parties.
2. Submit your design files via email to xmas2024@sunrichtoy.com using the subject: MINI GT 2024 Christmas Model Design Contest – (Applicant’s Name).
3. All entries must be submitted by 12:00 PM, July 15, 2024 (Pacific Time).

Judging Criteria:

• Creativity and originality
• Visual appeal and aesthetics
• Feasibility of production

Judging Process: After the submission deadline, the MINI GT team will review and select their favorite designs. The results are scheduled to be announced two weeks after the submission deadline.  A notification will also be sent to the email address on the application.

Prizes:

• Grand Prize: The winning design will be used to develop the MINI GT 2024 Christmas model car. The winner will receive the following rewards:
  • One piece of the MINI GT Director's Gift (sku# MGT00410)
  • Seventy-two pieces of the MINI GT 2024 Christmas model cars
  • One VIP pass for the 2025 One Night in Malaysia event
  • Invitation to the Malaysia Diecast Expo 2025 as a VIP guest. The winner will have the opportunity to interact closely with the MINI GT team and attend all MINI GT events or activities during the expo. All transportation and hotel costs will be covered.
  • The prize and rewards are non-transferable

• Runner-Up Prizes:   Five designs will receive Runner-Up Prizes. Each contestant will receive one MINI GT Director's Gift model (sku# MGT00410) and one VIP pass for the 2025 One Night in Malaysia event. The prize and rewards are non-transferable.

Important Dates:

• Submission Deadline: July 15, 2024
• Judging Period: July 16 – July 30, 2024
• Winner Announcement: Scheduled for July 31, 2024

Terms and Conditions: By entering the contest, participants agree to grant MINI GT the rights to use, produce, and promote their designs, including on social media, websites, and at events. MINI GT reserves the right to modify the livery as needed based on licensor feedback and production constraints. Participant designs may not be used exactly as submitted.
